This week I have been looking at all sorts of ways to jazz up items that are really not that pretty.  I have discovered so many things that each month I am going to have a Thrifty Thursday and explore ways to alter items.  This is exactly what I have done with this pin board that I found in the pound shop.  It was so simple to create and yet such a stunning effect!

I would just like to mention that the pictures towards the end are a bit shadow filled as I ended up working into the evening and really struggled with the lighting. Roll on summer months!

I will be back on the first Thursday of next month to share with you another thrifty make!

Step 1
Start off with the blank board and lots of buttons of different shapes and colours.

Step 2
Using patterned paper cover the white board part so that it fits exactly.

Step 3
Start covering the frame around the board with buttons.  Adhere them with a hot glue gun and make sure some overlap so that you are left with no gaps.

Plan where you are going to stick the buttons so that you don’t end up with a large block of colour or lots of the same sized buttons in one place.[/dropshadowbox]
